Position Summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music is currently seeking qualified candidates to consider for the role of Administrative Support Specialist. Bachelor’s degree, experience working in an academic environment, Banner experience, and arts background are preferred. The primary tasks for this role include, but are not limited to:

1. Coordinate School of Music Recruitment events, including Open House and Audition Days
2. Assist with other Recruitment duties
3. Serve as Building Manager for the Music Building
4. Maintain inventory
5. Serve as Departmental Scheduler for all Academic courses
6. Coordinate Building Schedule
7. Receive and process paperwork, payments, and programs for around 300 students, faculty, and guest artist recitals each year
8. Assist with marketing for School of Music
9. Assist and/or draft the preparation of annual reports – HEADS report for NASM, Instructional Analysis reports, etc.
10. Assist the Director in preparation of all reports within the School of Music to the College of Visual and Performing Arts, the University, accrediting agencies, and to other agencies
11. Coordinate events for the School of Music. This may include managing guest artist recitals, receptions, special events, luncheons for faculty, and meetings
12. Draft policy or manual revisions to reflect changes in procedures
13. Maintain and use global email/contact lists to disseminate information to the School and external agencies

Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND ONE YEAR OF RELATED OFFICE EXPERIENCE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.
