Position Summary

The Training and Technical Assistance Specialist will serve as a Juvenile Justice specialist focusing on training, technical assistance and coaching to local and state teams across NC along with providing leadership to the training team at UNCG.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field such as social work, psychology, counseling, education, and related experience with at least two years’ documented experience in training/teaching adult learners
2. Documentation of at least 3 training topics and objectives for sessions/courses noted in application
3. Demonstrate at least three years’ experience working with cross-system (juvenile justice, behavioral health, social services, education, physical health) or multidisciplinary teams and note in application

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Human Services Field such as social work, psychology, counseling, education
2. Understanding of Adult Learning Theory
3. Experience in Experiential training and instructional design
4. Training in best practices in training development and implementation
5. Training in Implementation Science
6. Experience in group processes, development, and group productivity
7. Training and background in System of Care principles
8. Ability to facilitate discussions and promote brainstorming/creative problem solving
9. Experience in previous work or positions that require problem-solving skills and helping others to solve challenges
10. Demonstrate a background in providing feedback to others in their job performance/or skills
11. Experience in writing reports or documentation of activities and events
12. Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to generate written and data reports
