Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Statistics, with a preference for candidates specializing in statistical or computational methods for large and complex data, with a preferred start date of August 1, 2018.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have or anticipate a Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field by August 1, 2018.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful applicants will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program and excel in teaching. They are also expected to seek external research funding, contribute to the interdisciplinary mission and statistical consulting at UNCG, and educate a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students from various backgrounds. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
