Position Summary

Part-Time Position (.50 FTE)

Information Technology Services (ITS) is UNCG’s central technology organization, providing computing, communications, and data services, and consulting with UNCG faculty/staff/students on technology. ITS is responsible for planning and management of the transmission and utilization of data, voice, and video, in support of the university’s academic and administrative goals. ITS promotes best practices, efficient procurement, and overall cost-effectiveness in the use of IT resources across the entire University.

The Department of Information Technology Services is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Support Associate position.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist with answering the University Switchboard and directing calls to appropriate destinations, handle and direct/transfer calls to the University to the correct person/group as well as serve as a receptionist for the McNutt building.

Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of UNCG departments and buildings and the surrounding community, good phone and customer service skills, the ability to be patient in a difficult situation.

Alternate Option
