Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Project Manager for the federally funded grant project. The project manager is primarily responsible for the day to day coordination of the grant activities and assisting the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators with implementation and evaluation of the grant activities. In addition, the project manager will assist with scheduling and calendaring activities including recruitment, traineeship application announcements and decision making, coordination of work with Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators and sites, data storage and security backup, assisting faculty in accurate, timely and efficient activities, assisting in clinical placement with Clinical Coordinator and grant team, confidential records and budget management. The position serves as primary assistant to Principal Investigator with multiple communications, relationships, skills, and activities required. The person in this position must be able to work independently, with little or no direct supervision, and in collaboration with multiple community constituencies and stakeholders, including community agency personnel, faculty, students, staff, other campus entities and offices, preceptors and SON staff and administrators. The person is expected to use considerable judgement and skills to perform work responsibilities. Effort will included primary responsibility for financial record keeping, reconciliation, revisions, managing and tracking expenditures; assisting with EPAFs; assisting with budget development for grant applications, interim progress reports; grant and budgetary closeout; and assisting with writing and submission of final financial and evaluation reports. The position serves as primary budgetary contact for the grant. Confidentiality, attention to detail in work, promptness, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity and exemplary attendance are key for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

BACHELOR’S DEGREE AND ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THE AREA OF ASSIGNMENT; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred in Nursing, Education or related field.
