The Office of the University Registrar connects students to the faculty, curriculum, and classroom on a continuum of service from enrollment and beyond. Specifically, this office maintains and updates academic records, curriculum, course and classroom data, maintains and updates online degree evaluations, tracks degree progress and certifies graduation for undergraduates, issues diplomas and official publications including The Undergraduate Bulletin, and coordinates the University’s two Commencement Ceremonies.

The Office of the University Registrar is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Technology Support Analyst.

The primary purpose of the Technology Support Analyst is to maintain synergies between current manual processes within the offices. The position is responsible for analysis, documenting and re-engineering of current processes, helping with implementing, testing and documenting new internal processes, and technical maintenance of internal day-to-day processes within the office. These processes will include new and currently used software packages including Ad Astra, Degree Works, Banner, et. al.

Essential Tasks and Duties:

  • Review and evaluate current URO processes in Records, Graduation Services, Veteran Services, Classroom/Curriculum, Registration, Information Services, and Commencement. Update current processes to create better efficiencies.
  • Develop process maps, documentation, and video for current and new URO processes.
  • Assist department personnel with technical issues and inform supervisor of specific needs, and with questions and concerns regarding specific software packages used by the office.
  • Review curriculum program revisions. Enter information into Banner Student (INB) forms and code rules in Degree Works (Scribe, SureCode).
  • Participate in IT related project internal to the URO. Perform testing of new software and upgrades, including development of test plans and tracking of testing activities.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role: or a Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role: or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Journey level requires an additional one (1) year of experience
  • Advanced level requires an additional two (2) years of experience
Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of systems used in higher education, such as Course Leaf, Banner, Degree Works, Ad Astra and the reporting tool Web Focus.
