Position Summary

The Department of Advancement Services is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills for an Administrative Support Associate position. Advancement Services is part of the Division of University Advancement, whose mission is to communicate the University’s message and needs to the public in a way that generates friends and funds for the institution. Other departments in the division include Alumni Affairs, Annual Giving, Development, Donor Relations, and Event Planning.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide program support and customer service to the Planned Giving Office and Prospect Management & Research Office.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Updating and maintaining prospect/donor data in Banner Advancement database.
  • Creating and formatting reports using Banner Advancement and affiliated reporting tools so data can be used by others for analysis, tracking, or prospecting purposes.
  • Creating correspondence, mail merges, and lists for communication purposes primarily using Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
  • Assisting Director of Planned Giving in managing estates in process.
  • Locating addresses and biographical information using web based sources and other reference tools such as Nexis.
  • Maintaining the Planned Giving website and affiliated email account.
  • Filing, scanning, organizing and maintaining documents and files.
Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK.
