Within the division of Enrollment Management, New Student Transitions & First Year Experience (NST & FYE) is committed to providing a comprehensive and collaborative approach to ensure the success and retention of our new students. NST & FYE helps new students and their families navigate the transition to college by connecting them to the people, programs, and resources at UNCG which provide a solid foundation for student success. This permanent part-time position focuses on providing website management, technical support and a variety of reports.

Job duties include:

  • Maintain and update departmental website.
  • Maintain AdmissionsPro SOAR reservations systems, including email generation, program updates and testing, as well as producing all printed items for SOAR programs that pull from AdPro/SpartanLink/BANNER.
  • Perform Academic Advising Inventory maintenance via AdPro/SpartanLink.
  • Provide online orientation support.
  • Perform software updates and system maintenance when necessary.
  • Perform credit card/POS terminal maintenance; work with budget coordinator on batching/reconciling.
  • Create and produce reports (BANNER, Web Focus) and lists for various program needs and for collaborative departments as needed.
  • Provide personal desktop and device support.
  • Support student graphic designer and equipment.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up to date on website maintenance and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the positions’ role. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Journey level requires an additional six (6) months experience
  • Advanced level requires an additional one (1) year of experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) – three (3) years technical and web management experience.
    - Associates Degree or Two (2) Year College Equivalent.

Understands basic technology principles and terminology associated with the work unit. Solicits relevant information from client in order to sufficiently describe non-routine problems to technical expert, and effectively communicate solution to client. Understands basic troubleshooting techniques and principles and uses understanding to resolve routine problems based on existing documentation/ training/ resources. Basic knowledge of specialty software or hardware.

Technical Support:
