Position Summary

Warehouse Services provides collection, storage, and disposal of UNCG surplus within the State and University guidelines. The UNCG Warehouse disposes of supplies, furniture and equipment through Spartan Swap, sales to nonprofits or other State agencies, retail sales, or the State Surplus System. In addition, the UNCG warehouse is an environmental steward for the University. The warehouse is responsible for recycling unusable supplies and equipment and reducing the University environmental footprint where possible.

This position oversees the management of and all associated aspects for the UNCG Surplus Warehouse.

Primary Duties Include:
30%: Material pick-ups, receiving, and moving throughout campus
20% Warehouse management
30% Customer service and communication skills
10% Surplus sales and promotions
10% Cash handling and calculations

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Minimum Requirement:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Department prefers two to three years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Department prefers someone who is self-motivated and works well independently.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. throughout the work day.
  • Forklift and box truck lift-gate operation experience.
